Apple Cider Vinegar Versus Turmeric

 

Apple cider vinegar and turmeric are both one of the most popular natural compounds. We know that both have beneficial properties. Claims to treat everything from tooth whitening to cures for cancers.

1.Weight Loss From Turmeric

Turmeric does not make direct claims to produce weight loss. But it is a fact that turmeric can reduce the inflammation in the colon leading to better absorption of nutrients. Leading to less hunger. Calorie consumption will be less and weight loss will ensue. Turmeric helps detoxify the liver. The burning of fat efficiently by the liver could help with weight loss.

2.Weight Loss From Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has been said to cause weight loss. Typically people put about a tablespoon of vinegar to 8-10 oz. of water. It is normally consumed before a meal. The physiology behind this reduction in weight is suggested to be related to the antiglycemic response. Vinegar blocks the absorption of starch. Guess what happens when you absorb less starch. Weight loss! Drink the vinegar and eat a starch. Thereby blocking the absorption of eh starch. Some believe that acetic acetate found in all kinds of kinds of vinegar, pomegranate vinegar or maybe even white distilled vinegar might have the same starch blocking effect.

3.Reduction in Diabetes from Turmeric and Vinegar

Diabetes might be decreased using vinegar.  Rat and human studies show that vinegar can increase the activity of insulin in lowering the body’s sugar. After a meal rich in starch, taking vinegar resulted in lower blood sugars. The amount required is 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar. Turmeric has no effect on insulin in human studies. But turmeric in some studies have shown to modulate glucose absorption by the gut

4.May have protective effects against cancer

Only rat and mice studies on the reduction of cancer studies from apple cider vinegar. Several studies have shown in humans that turmeric can reduce a certain type of cancers such as the prostate.

Vinegar seems to be safe with very little side effect. Vinegar acidic nature can cause some gastric burning in some individuals. I am one of those individuals and prefer to get my beneficial effects from turmeric.
